Eric Scheuermann
Managing PartnerEric, 46, founded Solamere Capital with Tagg Romney and Spencer Zwick. He graduated summa cum laude from the College of Business at the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Accounting, and was the Valedictorian of his College. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, and was an Editor of the Harvard Law Review. Eric is a member of the Bars of Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia, and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Eric has 14 years of direct private equity investing experience, and an additional 8 years of experience in law and business consulting, much of it focused on serving private equity funds. Prior to co-founding Solamere Capital, he was a Partner at Jupiter Partners, an investment firm based in New York City. As a Partner, he was directly responsible for sourcing, structuring, growing and exiting private investments.
Prior thereto, Eric was an engagement manager for the business consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he in part focused on providing due diligence analysis and recommendations to private equity investment funds considering investments. He also worked with portfolio companies owned by private equity funds, helping to analyze and recommend revenue growth and margin improvement opportunities.
Before joining McKinsey & Company, Eric was a private equity attorney for Latham & Watkins, where he helped represent a number of private equity funds including Carlyle Group, Blackstone Group and other funds in numerous acquisitions, sales, financings, and public offerings of their portfolio companies.
Eric also was selected as one of three law clerks by Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist of the U.S. Supreme Court, and before that as one of three law clerks by Chief Judge J. Clifford Wallace of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
